Polyurethane Reaction Injection molding references (RIM) are strong, flexible, lightweight parts which can easily be painted. The bi-component mixture injected into the mold has a much lower viscosity than molten thermoplastic polymers, therefore large, light-weight, and thin-walled but very strong items can be successfully RIM processed. RIM moulding provides designers with an opportunity to create stylish and ergonomic covers faster and with lower risks and constraints than alternate processes. PU RIM moulding provides cost and time savings when compared to conventional injection mould tools. PU RIM products can be insulated inside with thermal and acoustic insulation materials to provide tailor made solutions.
